Pierce Brosnan has weighed in on why he thinks the James Bond sale to Amazon MGM Studios was the “right decision.” Brosnan led the franchise as 007 from 1995 to 2002, beginning with “GoldenEye.” In 2025, longtime Bond producers and half-siblings Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli announced that Amazon MGM Studios would have complete creative control of the IP. The deal was a reported $1 billion; both Wilson and Broccoli will remain co-owners of the franchise.
